  • Poeta offers a FIVE-COURSE, Chef’s Tasting Menu, thoughtfully curated each month for seasonal changes.

    Our TASTING MENU is Currently $85pp*price subject to change monthly

    • Optional beverage pairings are avaiable to elevate your dining experience.

      Chef’s Tasting Menu Participation: 

      The entire table is required to participate, and as much as we love sharing in good company, the tasting menus themselves can not be split between any number of people. We require each guest to partake in their own tasting menu. 

      Options for a KID’s MENU?

      Children are welcome, but each guest is required to be counted for our prix-fixe Chef’s Tasting Menu upon booking, at the same pricing, and alternative menu items options are not available, and we do not offer a la carte items. As a restaurant with limited space for larger scale cooking capacity, only our set tasting menus are available.

  • Options for VEGETARIAN & GLUTEN FREE Accommodations are available upon booking: Should you need to change your menu selection after booking, 24hr notice is required: call or email us to adjust your changes.

    • OTHER DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS: Many dietary considerations can be accommodated for, but more specific, restricted diet requirements (vegan, keto, etc.) or multiple allergen concerns for an individual guest may present as too limited to guarantee options to provide a menu offering of the same experience.  

      • Please contact us prior to booking for any concerns of this nature so we can speak with our chef team as to our ability to properly provide accommodations or not to any restrictions.

      • Menu Substitutions Politely Declined. *This is to Maintain the Integrity of a Dish as it was Intended During its Creation. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING!

  • experience with one of our two beverage pairings, each tailored to fit the current month’s menu: Choose from an enticing wine pairing curated by our Sommelier, Greg Randle, or explore with our “bartender’s choice” pairing, featuring a range of craft cocktails, wine, or amaro created by Bar Manager, Jay Goodman.  

    Our full bar offers seasonally inspired craft cocktails, specialty wines, and select beer available for a la carte purchase. 

    • Do you have a corkage fee?

    We serve liquor and due to Texas state laws, we are unable to allow outside alcohol.

RESERVATIONS & POLICIES

Call Us Directly for Larger Group Dining Reservations

  • As a small establishment offering a tasting-menu format, reservations are strongly recommended to guarantee seating.

    • All indoor seating is reservable online.

    • Walk-in availability is welcome on a limited, first come, first serve basis dependent on each day's openings.

    • Call ahead to see if space is available if you don’t see a booking option online!

    *RESERVATIONS for 7+ Guests Require Our Assistance to Book, and are Not Available Online.  If you don’t see what you’re looking for, give us a call! 

    *Please Note, for INFANTS/CHILDREN in ATTENDANCE:

    • All infants and/or children should be counted as a regular dining guest in your party. and require the same purchase of a tasting menu to attend.

    • Space is verylimited inside Swoop House: extra items such as strollers will not fit in most of the intimately laid out spaces: If you are planning to bring a stroller, please contact us to assist with spacing to help ensure there is a proper spot to allocate to your reservation to. *Highchairs are Not Available at this time, and we do not have Changing Tables in our restrooms.

    • Keep an eye out! Poeta will offer special events and brunches throughout the year and will offer more casual spaces during those services for smaller peoples to more easily attend.

    PETS on the PATIO:

    At this time, only service animals are allowed on the property.

  • DINING TIME- We politely ask your conscientiousness in working with us to honor an allocated 2 hour reservation time to ensure everyone may have an opportunity to dine.

    RUNNING LATE- We’re happy to hold your table for 15 minutes past the reservation time, but please note

    • Your dining time will not change from the initial reservation start time, and beginning your dining experience later will impact the overall time allotted. We will do our best to accommodate your party within one of our spaces for the full 2 hours, but a “space relocation” may be required (based on availability) if you’re still finishing final beverages and dessert. 

    • Should a member of your party be running late, the same timing requirements apply. You may begin your tasting for a group prior to a complete party (and we will do our best to provide the same dishes) but can not offer extended time to ensure the same overall experience.

    CANCELLATIONS- Dinner deposits are non-refundable within 48hrs of your booking. In the event of an emergency, please contact: hello@poetarestaurant.com within 48 hours prior to your reservation, and we’ll be happy to reschedule with you. Guests are limited to ONE reschedule option per booking under the same reservation for the same number of guests.

    • Additional booking policies and cancellation charges apply for large party groups, room buyouts and/or restaurant buyouts. 

  • A  20% gratuity on all dine-in checks for parties of any size.

    • If you feel inclined to leave additional gratuity, you’re welcome to do so, and it's much appreciated. 

    • After your meal, if you feel 20% is too gracious, please ask to speak with a manager to modify/revise/amend the gratuity percentage.

Poeta is accessibly located in Central East Austin Near the places you know & love…

On-site, dedicated parking spaces are located on both sides of Gonzales st. (in front of the main entry) and the Eastside parking lot (right side of the property, passed the gardens). *Extended open street parking is available on Gonzales st. & Ramos st.
